With great excitement, we announce the launch of W4EA’s first school transportation program in Kasenda Sub-County, bringing a new level of safety and accessibility to children living in remote villages. As the first initiative of its kind in the district, our program now provides daily transportation for 100 children aged 3–6 across four schools and four villages.
By providing safe and reliable transport, W4EA has reduced travel time from up to two hours to under 30 minutes, easing physical fatigue and allowing young children to arrive at school safer, less exhausted, and ready to learn. The program has also contributed to improved school attendance and punctuality, helping remove one of the barriers to education faced by children in these underserved communities.
